Book Talk at Linder Academy 
(for Veteran's Day)
Monday, November 8, 2021 

Book talk given to 3 classes of children. There were a lot of interesting questions from the children, who focused on learning the facts as presented by Dr. Charles Toftoy, Professor Emeritus GWU, and decorated Vietnam veteran.

Dr. Toftoy served 2 tours in the Vietnam War as an Army Ranger/Paratrooper and was awarded two purple hearts.

Book talk presented 3 pm on Oct. 28th, 2021 at Goodwin House assisted living facility in Alexandria, Va. 54 people in attendance. A lot of good questions were asked and answered. Also many comments. 



Book talk  presented at the Army Navy Country Club,  Arlington, Va. Sept. 15, 2021. Attendance was 58 people.

Toftoy covered several blunders from his book, Blunnders: Shocking Mistakes That Altered History.

Toftoy is a professor emeritus at GW, a disabled veteran, and the recipient of two purple hearts.

GW Arts Initiative Programs explore topics related to art, history, and culture, and connect GW faculty, students, and the public. A collaboration with GW arts and humanities faculty. Free; no reservations required.
